#6. Halloween.

Halloween.
Halloween is an international holiday which is celebrated all over the world on 31st October. Halloween originated from the ancient Celtic festival known as Samhain. The festival of Samhain is a celebration of the end of harvest season in Gaelic culture which is sometimes regarded as the Gaelic New Year. The ancient Gaels believed that on October 31, now known as Halloween, the boundary between the alive and the deceased dissolved, and the dead become dangerous for the living by causing problems such as sickness or damaged crops. The festivals would frequently involve bonfires, into which bones of slaughtered livestock were thrown. Costumes and masks were also worn at the festivals in an attempt to mimic the evil spirits. However, Halloween in today's context is nothing more than a 'spooky' celebration which includes activities such as trick-or-treating, ghost tours, bonfires, costume parties, visiting haunted attractions, carving jack-o-lantern, reading scary stories, and watching horror movies. Happy Halloween.

#5. Best Friends.

Best Friends.

"Christine! You missed the pole!" Giggles filled the air. Two little girls, aged about 6-7, running around carefree about what-so-ever in life, playing together with all their hearts, knowing that they will have each other whenever they fall or tripped, a friend that is there to cry together and to pick each other up. Well, for me, that defines what best friends are.

Best friends are friends who are true to each other, needless fear nor pride, honest and truthful, forgiving and trusting, help and care arises from the bottom of one's heart, self sacrificial of time and energy as well as feelings just to see a the edges of a friend's lips curled up in a smile, sharing every tear shed and every laughter together, overcoming every fall and problems faced, sharing triumphs and victories, smacking each other in their heads whenever one falls out of path, supporting and encouraging, praying and hoping for each other.

I for one, had never found a best friend who is of all those above but God. But I, once had a best friend who will always be in my heart and my prayers will always go out for her.

#4. Colours.

Colours.

Yeeep. This post is all about colours. =] I am sure that every single one of you knows what are colours right? Well, what is the first thing that comes into your mind when the word 'colours' comes up? Well, for me, it is technically everything. Can you imagine a world with no colours? Is there anymore beauty in the world then? All I'm sure is that it would be real freaky for me.*laughs*

Colour is simply light of different wavelengths and frequencies and light is just one form of energy that we can actually see that is made up from photons. The visible spectrum of colour as we see it, consists of seven main colours, which are, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet. Our retinas in our eyes can actually only detect three of these visible colours - red - blue and green. These colours are called additive primaries. It is these three colours that are mixed in our brain to create all of the other colours we see.

Besides that, Colours are is also proven to have an impact on our nervous system. It affects us psychologically on how we feel and how we think. Bright and happy colours can make a person feel happy and joyful. Calm and peaceful colours can cause one be tranquil and at peace. Strong and striking colours can make us feel more energetic and powerful.

What I recently learnt from my friend, is that the colours that we like can actually tells us our personalities. And I find it rather true and interesting. *laughs* so, check out below on how accurate is the colours that you like on telling you about yourself.

White - One speaks his/her mind. Shows emotions very easily. A person who is very genuine and true. If one is happy, one will show, if one is sad, one will show. A person who is very true to his/her words. Honest.

Black - A person who is very strong in character. One who does not reveal themselves. Gives a sense of authority and power. A leader. Cool and less likely to show emotion. Mysterious.

Yellow and Orange- Bright and Fun personality. A person who likes to smile and laugh alot. A person who is optimistic and always happy.

Red - A person who is very brave and takes every opportunity that comes by. A person who is rash and bash. One who tends to just 'GO' and doesn't consider much. Tends to end up regretting choices made. One who is temperamental.

Blue - One who loves freedom and tranquility. A person who does not like to be restricted and loves to explore and go their own way. Adventurous and independent. Cool.

Purple - Mysterious. Elegant. Intelligent but dangerous. A person who might turn on you and you might not know. A person who leaves you wit a feeling of mysteriousness and asking for more.

Green - One who loves greeneries, nature and freshness. Is adventurous. Loves tranquilty and arts. A person who likes living in harmony and peace.

You might say, well, my favourite colours change as I grow and as I age, well, that is because, your personality is changing and is shaping with your everyday life and mood. As you grow older, your thinking and priorities changes therefore the colours you like changes indirectly. Or maybe, you might say, I like many colours. Yes, there is such possibilities. This is because, these colours shapes your total personality. You must rank the colours you like from the most to the least. It actually tells you the bigger and the smaller parts of your personality. Other than this, you might say, I like Purple, but I like only certaing types of purples. This once again tells you the intensity and the amount of that character you have as your personality.
