#10. Christmassy. <3

Christmas.
Its Christmassy time! My favourite time of the year! =D I really really do love Christmas. It is a time when one can feel the warmth and love from all around, a time when children of all ages run around happily with a genuine smile plastered on their faces, a time when Christmas trees and presents under the tree wrapped with colourful wrapping paper are seen everywhere, Santa Claus and Christmas carols are heard and seen, as well as the sharing and togetherness with our closest family and friends. Besides all of that, it is a time when we all put everything that has happened in the past year aside and come back to our main focus, which is our God, Lord Jesus Christ.

This very day, 2000 years back, a child was born to a virgin named Mary. She was concieved by the Holy Spirit to give birth to the Son of God who was Jesus Christ. He was here on earth to live just to die for the sins of you and me. He carried the cross and wore the crown of thorns, He was whipped and accused for who He really is, He was hurt and condemned by us, sinners and yet, He was willing to die for us and to forgive us. He's unconditional love for us still stand firm till this very day. John 3.16. Therefore, for me, the true meaning of Christmas is not about Santa Claus or presents or even Christmas trees. Christmas is to me, the remembrance of the very birth of our Saviour, Jesus Christ and His love that is for us.

***Writer's heartfelt: Christmas was great! =] Exactly how I wanted it. God, Family and friends. Thanks to all my closest friends who gave me a wish or a pressie as well as making my miracle real, well, sort of. *MuaxMuax* Thank you Lord for everything and for those who are wondering whether did I get my miracle, I kinda did, partly but I am satisfied with it. =]

#9. Gossips.

Gossips.
Look at the picture on the right. This picture illustrates gossiping perfectly. Gossiping is an on going process that never will come to a fullstop if one continues to spread and spread and spread due to one's entertainment purposes. But mind you, once the chain is started, it will continue on and on.

Warning to all gossipers out there:
DO NOT gossip about others. First of all, gossiping is an immature act that shows how inconsiderate you are. You are leeching happiness out of people's sorrow. Put yourself in that person's shoes. Do you want people talking about your problems when you are at your saddest point of life? Do you want people laughing and snickering at what you wishes to forget and let go? Besides that, whenever you start a gossip about a person, remember, its always a continuous circle. Do not start a vicious gossip which is untrue about a person. The good Lord will always know who is right and who is wrong. The poisonous and vicious gossips that isn't true about a person, will slowly reveal through time. The truth will always always prevail and people who at start, believe in the fake version of a story about a person, will start to realise who is good and who is bad and thats' when, gossipers out there, you will get the same amount of pay back that you have caused a person to feel.

So gossipers out there, be considerate and just shut your mouth when ever you are tempted to gossip. One mouth shut, stops a whole circle of gossips which can help stop the misery and pain felt by others. Always remember that do Not do what you don't want others do to you, no matter how big the temptation is, its just Satan playing with your head.

#8. Twins.

Twins.
I saw this beautiful picture after my class the other day and it just spoke to me of how beautiful God's grace is. Born on July 11th, Germany, Meet Leo the dark-skinned with brown-eyed one, and Ryan, the older one with light skin and blue eyes. The are both confirmed from the same father and the same mother. Despite this picture, can you imagine, how people fight and war is going on simply just because of racial issues? On going discrimination? Prejudice and stereotype? Just because of our skin colour?

We are ALL the same underneath our skin. Mind you. We all have the same flesh and blood that runs through our veins from our fore fathers. But why? Why does war and fights still happen till this very day? NO race is better than the other. So why? Even this pair of twins, so close to each other, are born of different colour. Does that make them enemies? God is so great that he shows us through this very picture that we are all one. One brothers and sisters, united, together.

#6. Halloween.

Halloween.
Halloween is an international holiday which is celebrated all over the world on 31st October. Halloween originated from the ancient Celtic festival known as Samhain. The festival of Samhain is a celebration of the end of harvest season in Gaelic culture which is sometimes regarded as the Gaelic New Year. The ancient Gaels believed that on October 31, now known as Halloween, the boundary between the alive and the deceased dissolved, and the dead become dangerous for the living by causing problems such as sickness or damaged crops. The festivals would frequently involve bonfires, into which bones of slaughtered livestock were thrown. Costumes and masks were also worn at the festivals in an attempt to mimic the evil spirits. However, Halloween in today's context is nothing more than a 'spooky' celebration which includes activities such as trick-or-treating, ghost tours, bonfires, costume parties, visiting haunted attractions, carving jack-o-lantern, reading scary stories, and watching horror movies. Happy Halloween.

#5. Best Friends.

Best Friends.

"Christine! You missed the pole!" Giggles filled the air. Two little girls, aged about 6-7, running around carefree about what-so-ever in life, playing together with all their hearts, knowing that they will have each other whenever they fall or tripped, a friend that is there to cry together and to pick each other up. Well, for me, that defines what best friends are.

Best friends are friends who are true to each other, needless fear nor pride, honest and truthful, forgiving and trusting, help and care arises from the bottom of one's heart, self sacrificial of time and energy as well as feelings just to see a the edges of a friend's lips curled up in a smile, sharing every tear shed and every laughter together, overcoming every fall and problems faced, sharing triumphs and victories, smacking each other in their heads whenever one falls out of path, supporting and encouraging, praying and hoping for each other.

I for one, had never found a best friend who is of all those above but God. But I, once had a best friend who will always be in my heart and my prayers will always go out for her.

#4. Colours.

Colours.

Yeeep. This post is all about colours. =] I am sure that every single one of you knows what are colours right? Well, what is the first thing that comes into your mind when the word 'colours' comes up? Well, for me, it is technically everything. Can you imagine a world with no colours? Is there anymore beauty in the world then? All I'm sure is that it would be real freaky for me.*laughs*

Colour is simply light of different wavelengths and frequencies and light is just one form of energy that we can actually see that is made up from photons. The visible spectrum of colour as we see it, consists of seven main colours, which are, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet. Our retinas in our eyes can actually only detect three of these visible colours - red - blue and green. These colours are called additive primaries. It is these three colours that are mixed in our brain to create all of the other colours we see.

Besides that, Colours are is also proven to have an impact on our nervous system. It affects us psychologically on how we feel and how we think. Bright and happy colours can make a person feel happy and joyful. Calm and peaceful colours can cause one be tranquil and at peace. Strong and striking colours can make us feel more energetic and powerful.

What I recently learnt from my friend, is that the colours that we like can actually tells us our personalities. And I find it rather true and interesting. *laughs* so, check out below on how accurate is the colours that you like on telling you about yourself.

White - One speaks his/her mind. Shows emotions very easily. A person who is very genuine and true. If one is happy, one will show, if one is sad, one will show. A person who is very true to his/her words. Honest.

Black - A person who is very strong in character. One who does not reveal themselves. Gives a sense of authority and power. A leader. Cool and less likely to show emotion. Mysterious.

Yellow and Orange- Bright and Fun personality. A person who likes to smile and laugh alot. A person who is optimistic and always happy.

Red - A person who is very brave and takes every opportunity that comes by. A person who is rash and bash. One who tends to just 'GO' and doesn't consider much. Tends to end up regretting choices made. One who is temperamental.

Blue - One who loves freedom and tranquility. A person who does not like to be restricted and loves to explore and go their own way. Adventurous and independent. Cool.

Purple - Mysterious. Elegant. Intelligent but dangerous. A person who might turn on you and you might not know. A person who leaves you wit a feeling of mysteriousness and asking for more.

Green - One who loves greeneries, nature and freshness. Is adventurous. Loves tranquilty and arts. A person who likes living in harmony and peace.

You might say, well, my favourite colours change as I grow and as I age, well, that is because, your personality is changing and is shaping with your everyday life and mood. As you grow older, your thinking and priorities changes therefore the colours you like changes indirectly. Or maybe, you might say, I like many colours. Yes, there is such possibilities. This is because, these colours shapes your total personality. You must rank the colours you like from the most to the least. It actually tells you the bigger and the smaller parts of your personality. Other than this, you might say, I like Purple, but I like only certaing types of purples. This once again tells you the intensity and the amount of that character you have as your personality.

#3. Smiles.

Smiles.
A simple smile you see carries many wonderful diverse meanings.

Innocence.

Delightfulness.

Love.

Survival.

Success.

A smile is a symbol of happiness. What kind of smile are you carrying today? A smile that says that you are the happiest person on earth? or a crooked smile which covers up the tears you've cried yesterday night? a radiant smile that you flash when you've found someone you love? or is it a proud smile that says your a survivor and not a victim? maybe a smile which is cynical and evil? or rather just a fake plastered smile that you put on to face the world?

A genuine smile comes from the bottom of your heart. It is that smile which you flash idiotically without you even realising. It is when you feel that you are on top of the world and you have all the things you want. That smile is not fake and it radiates from the inside out. That smile can be felt and is contagious.

Life is not easy. Smiles you flash may not be a genuine smile from your heart. You wish to be young and innocent again, when you need not go through the highs and lows of life. You may be going through hard times right now and the last time you smiled seemed to be ages ago but remember that you always have Him with you no matter what. Remember that through all the hard times, that there will be better days. Trust on to Him and the frowns in your heart will turn into serene smiles on your face. So just smile and leave your burdens behind.

SMILE!

#2. Football.

Football.
I'm sure you guys know what is it. Need me say more about it? *laughs* Well, yea, football which is also known as soccer, is an international sport. And i don't see why is that. Don't get me wrong football fans out there, but its just that, why football deserve more attention than other sports?

Is it the thrill of the game?

or the hot guys?
or is it to see your favourite player in action?

or to show your support for your favourite team?

Owhh for me, its just a little bit of everything. I do love watching football. The thrill of it when your favourite player runs with the ball, strutting his skills, nearing the goal box. The blood rush, when the commentator speak as the player starts to aim and shoot. The excitement when he SCORES! and the let down when he misses. Yea. Thats about it for me. If you ask me to play football, that would be the last sport for me. I can play other sports but definately not football. Yea. I'm a 'kaki bangku'.

SO, yea, back to the main question, why football deserves such recognition from the world? That, I am still wondering. Guys seemed to go head over heels for it and girls seemed to drool more over football players more than players of other sports. *laughs* Well as for me, i'll just stick to the 'other' sports that I play and this.

Foosball anyone?

So, if you want me to watch football with you, wait till I catch the football bug when it is time for the next FIFA worldcup. Till then, Ciaoz!

#1. Faith.

Faith.
Some say, faith is hope when all you see is walls infront of you. Some say, faith is something senseless and baseless. Some even say that faith is nothing but something created to make humans feel better. What is faith exactly?

Faith is to believe what you do not see; the reward of this faith is to see what you believe.
-St. Augustine
Faith is not something to grasp, it is a state to grow into.
-Mahatama Gandhi
Take the first step in faith. You don't have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step.
-Martin Luther King Jr.
Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
-Bible

Many great leaders in the world have voiced their different opinions about faith. I may not be a great leader like them, but I for one, believe that faith is Believing even when the times are hard, the sky seems to be falling down, when you feel so alone in the world and when you cry yourself to sleep everynight , there is always Someone looking down at you, feeling every pain you feel and cherished every teardrop you cried. It is believing that whatever happens, He has a plan for you and me.(Jer 21:11)

Faith.

When I saw this picture, It speaks to me of how so strong is a little tiny, baby faith. Many of us have tried doing it the MY way, but failed everytime. But faith, even as tiny as an ant, is able to move mountains.

Many people today say that faith is stupidity due to senseless and baseless believes but, faith is not by sight, it is by step. Faith is believing and trusting Him through the high and lows of life. So, have faith and stay strong, that eventhrough the darkest days in your lives, that He has something bigger and better installed for you in the near future. And when that day comes, He will be the one with the biggest smile.
